Realync Studios Independent Video Contractor

Realync is seeking Independent Contractors to create video content at properties across our portfolio for our growing multifamily technology company. This position will be responsible for recording, editing and publishing content at assigned properties per contracted specifications, using the Realync app. The Independent Contractors must be passionate about leveraging DIY video to capture spaces in a simple, efficient, transparent way. The Independent Contractors will need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to provide direction and be extremely detail oriented.

Notes about this role

• Location: Any major market in the continental US. (Currently not accepting applications for anyone located in the state of Indiana.)
• Compensation: Per job rate, travel expenses are not reimbursed
• Independent Contractor may NOT be currently employed by a current Realync client

Responsibilities

• Scheduling
  • The Contractor will coordinate directly with the Realync Studios Program Manager to organize, plan logistics and deadlines for each property in accordance with your schedule, as well as ensure the work is up to standards and submitted in a timely manner.
• Video Creation
  • Record videos pre-determined by the client and the Realync Studios Program Manager.
  • Videos consist of specific apartment units and amenities only.
• Editing
  • Within the Realync app, utilize all editing features to ensure a polished and professional video is published for the client by adding captions, trimming, cutting, music, etc.
• Publishing
  • Completed videos are edited and published to your Realync account within 24 hours of the property visit and the Realync Studios Program Manager is notified that the job is completed.
• Project commitments can vary from 3 hours onsite to multiple days, depending on scope of work.

Qualifications

• Candidates with previous Realync experience will be given preferential consideration.
• Must possess an iPhone 11 or newer device with at least 20% storage available for video processing (once videos are published they are saved in the Realync cloud).
• Strong accountability and responsibility to complete projects within scope and schedule.
• Organized, self-starter, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently to set and manage priorities for site visits showing punctuality and professionalism at all times.
• Must complete 1-hour Realync Training Course for creating, editing, and publishing content as well as submit a relevant test video prior to the first assignment. Compensation for one hour of training is paid upon completion of the first site visit.
• Must be able to provide reliable transportation or use public transit to arrive and depart site visits on schedule.

Product Owner

The Realync product owner is a highly collaborative individual that facilitates work between the product team and the technical teams (engineering, quality assurance, infrastructure, and development and operations) to define, implement, and maintain SaaS-based products and features. This individual is highly organized, analytical, and communicative, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Realync Engineering has a diverse team spanning 2 continents, including several time zones in the continental US, with most team members working fully remotely. As a key member of the software development lifecycle, the product owner works creatively to ensure all team members receive the product guidance they need through the appropriate written and/or verbal communication means. The product owner does whatever is needed to help the team understand problems, sort through solutions, and make clear decisions, constantly communicating to and with all stakeholders to get needed input and notifying teams about decisions, timing, and rationale. The product owner provides critical connective tissue and detailed review/input to ensure daily excellence, timely adjustments, clear reporting, and consistent progress in the product development process.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams from a product’s conception all the way through to its maintenance post-launch
• Set up and review usage analytics for our products: derive insights, report to all stakeholders and help operationalize findings into new product plans
• Work with technical teams and product manager to write up stories for technical needs of new and existing products and features
• Maintaining internally-facing documentation of products
• Facilitate analyses of the technical viability of a product or feature as defined by the product manager
• Acquire, communicate, and track against product implementation timelines
• Communicate technical and non-technical requirements of products to the technical teams (software engineering, quality assurance, infrastructure, development, and operations) through verbal and written means
• Write user stories, create user flows.
• Participate in daily scrum as product owner
• Perform user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the product or feature implementation
• Collaborate with team members producing customer-facing user guides
• Review and clarify defects for software maintenance
